Broken Dipstick

Mine broke ordered replacement, gave model and year of vehicle and the dipstick arrived but was shorter than my current one.
I paid £6.47 inc Vat
The code for the new dipstick they sent is
A8Z0 115 611 G
Looks like i will have to get them to order me what Skipton has said:
Diesel models - 8Z0 115 611 E
 
It broke again!

Just a awarning to all A2 owners: as you can see from my previous posts i had a new dip stick tail end of last year, just to say dipped the oil last weekend and the end had broke off it AGAIN! so i now have two bits in my sump. obviously Audi are selling the defective part still! What muppets!
 
Just noticed dipstick broken at orange bit.:mad:
Dont know if i did it or done previously as only had car a month:confused:
Will see what Bedford Audi are going to charge me for a £5 part:rolleyes:

Same thing happened today! Dipstick less than 12 months old and broken again! So that's two down!

Wonder if it's possible to spot weld a metal tip on it?
 
I'll add my name to this list - was lucky though as it was noticed during the service that the orange end was about to break - so no plastic bit in the engine until the next service!! I'll order a new one from the local Audi dealer and see of they're still a fiver!!?
 
Mine was £14.75 + vat a while back, but at least it is black so you can actually see the oil. Just make sure you ask for a black one. Cheers Colin
 
TDi dipstick - £7.69 including VAT from Ayr Audi.
Quoted part number as per Skipton's post - no worries and next day delivery. For future readers experiencing a similar issue this is probably amongst the easist and cheapest to put right. Touch wood (and hoping not to tempt fate by saying this) Ada's first real 'fault' during our ownership has been very straight forward :D
