I've just realised that although I have posted threads all over the forum as I have been working on this project, I haven't actually posted it here in the Projects section. Duh!
Anyway, this all started back on November, when I bought my A2 from an ad on facebook marketplace.
It's a 1.4 petrol, with OSS and Aircon. The "Bugsy" name comes from the reg plate, and is what the previous owner called it.
It's blue. Not Silver.
The price was right, £850, which included an mot (just needed brakes).
There were ISSUES though.
So far, with the help of this forum & YouTube, I've managed to:
Fix the blower motor : stuck motor and controls playing up
No heat : stuck flap & controls again
Petrol cap : stuck
Partially unplugged CCCU
Hidden tracking device! (Yes, really).
Locking wheel nuts: no key!
Still to do:
O2 sensor : needs fitting (done)
New battery: on it's way (done)
Driver's door window intermittent issues: replacement motor needs fitting
Broken Air vent: replace (done)
Broken cup holder: replace (got one)
Fix funny noise: wheel bearing (done)
Get remote locking working.
I've had the dash in pieces, had the floor up and got strange looks from the neighbours when I removed the bonnet (as you do).
I've had a ball. It's been years since I last did any of this. (I did a LOT of this)
Got my car-mojo back
The amount of help I've had from this forum has been incredible - thanks, Guys!
