The cup holder can not be closed. I think many people are struggling with this annoying little mistake.
I completely dismantled the cup holders and found that at the end of the rail there are a few stubs that prevent the cupholder from slipping out. Unfortunately this little brake is made of plastic and is broken off over time.
I replaced the small plastic piece with the end of a metal rivet. I put it in the plastic at the end of the iron rivet. After that, the cup holder is perfectly open and locked. The end of the iron stem will hopefully never break. My cup of life was alive.
I will never have to buy new cup holders. I hope I helped my little advice to someone else!THX.
