Cheers for the info Paul, I had the clutch changed a few weeks ago so am hoping it's gonna be free of the bond stuff hopefully a straight forward job..... But as usual it never is with me haha
unfortunately you do not have to remove the drive hafts from the wheel hubs to remove the gearbox (just remove from the gearbox and tie up out of the way) so it very much depends on who did the clutch for you as to whether the drive shafts have already been out and back in again
Small amount of concern as just purchased the Halfords advanced 3/4 set which amongst a variety of other jobs was going to be used for the A2s hub nut soon. Its a fairly chunky set with pretty thick walls.
Anyone have any ideas of the outer max diameter the socket can be? I would check but haven't got the A2 to hand right now.
I don't know the outside diameter but the one I bought fitted ok even though I got it machined down.
