EGR blanking plate

My Egr did not show up as a fault code, but it was seized, stuck and full of black gunge and soot.. cylinder 2 misfiring showed mostly but you could only feel slight hesitations while driving at certain revs say between 1000 and 3000 rpm , but that was if you were being very gentle with the throtle, if you floored it everywhere it seemed fine ..
 
Yes, that is why I asked about error codes.

Sometimes a misfire causes this issue and they will show up as an error code.
But the EGR doesn't.

So if you have no error codes and those symptoms it is then sensible to check out the EGR fully.

The ecu show system too lean for cylinder one. On saturday i will service the car oil filters and sparks. And the egr will be cleaned too. I will post soon
 
What good the EGR blanking can do to petroleum 1.4 or 1.6FSI engines?
I blanked mine last year for a few days, just to make it possibe to reach Germany without engine light flashing all the time, it worked, but it eliminated the misfirings only temporarily. The new EGR was fitted, but the misfirings came back after 1000 km. So the EGR was not the problem at all.
 
Hello all again. After one day off working the on the a2. I change oil (5/40 castrol) ,oil filter ,fuel filter, air filter ,oil separator valve ,cleaning egr, and new 4 pole spark plugs "njk" ,man with a DIFFERENCE. Now the car run perfect and go like hell :D No more stupid thing between 1500, 3000rpm. The strange thing is that the egr was only little dirty ,but now i know it's clean. The system too lean error for cylinder one isn't coming back for the moment. 10x all again !
