Cheaper than a genuine replacement relay + postage? No!Great find and very tempting at that price having just fitted a second hand kindly supplied by Clackers!
If disconnecting the switch dont work i would get a replacement relay to be honest i have had one fail on the indicator side but its all built into one unit anyway new they are around £60 but our breakers often have good used units at much more attractive pricesAny advice please?
I'm with @Catnip64 sounds more alarm related than flasher relay.Do the hazards work correctly when operating the switch, are the indicators okay?
It may be that the hazards are coming on due to a faulty alarm, do you know if the system works correctly and does the siren go off?
Best to check this before replacing the relay.
A scan (vag specific) will tell you what's triggered the alarm.Hi all, thanks for replies, really appreciated.
The hazards and indicators work ok. I’m not sure it has an alarm, Ive never heard it.
I have plugged in a odb reader, is there another way to check the alarm?
Check if you car has interior sensors deactivation button on B pillar above fuel filler open button. The hazards and indicators work ok. I’m not sure it has an alarm, Ive never heard it.
