Fuel warning light

I'm having issues with my fuel gauge too.
Driving along just after refuelling the noise on the dash alerted me that I had now fuel left in the car. WTF?

I found the unit under the rear seat and tried to take off the clip to check for corrosion. Feck me that was tricky to work out how to get it off and there are not obvious instructions in Elsawin, other than "take it off". I have since worked out that if you push down the whole contact plug then the little tab on the side, you pull that up, the plug just comes right out.
You guys might already know this but I had no clue and a good 30 minutes of poking and prodding and pulling and pushing eventually sorted this out.

Next thing I need to dismantle the whole thing to check the insides. Next job on my list, next to the aircon sender replacement and weird console unit clicking in the back door somewhere.

Well its not the sender unit on mine, having swapped over the units from the cat C . still the same result, bleeping on half full / empty.

In my a2 I have thrown 45 liters of gasoline. How much gas fits in the empty tank at all?

Andrés.

FSI's have a 42 litre tank but you can easily squeeze 48 litre in there, I've done it a couple times, guess your just filling the filler neck and breather!!
