Appreciate that info, thanks, I'll get back under it tomorrow and see if more will fit in. Looks like I may have pulled out a little prematurely!
Or perhaps you didn't fully empty the old oil?

Hi I did mine middle of last year, the steel bracket just swings down to give access. Before you undo the drain plug I would recommend loosening the fill plug. You might be in trouble if you drain before you can't refill. Also might be worth checking the dog bone to see if that needs replacingMy turn to try today. Failed at first hurdle in that I realised after taking the under tray off that the hex bit required is maahoosive at 17mm. Tried in vanw to pickup locally so just ordered from Amazon.
Doesnt seem as always to be great access to either fill or drain holes. Assuming the bracket mentioned is this one pictured? I just undo the bolts on the bracket and tilt down out of the way?
Surely the logical reason for the missing 300ml is the gearbox oil before was short on capacity by 300ml...... Git around 1.5 litres of dark brown stinky fluid out, and around 1.8 back in. No idea where the 300ml went.
I experienced something similar, new oil didn't improve the gear change much.Completely successfully over the weekend. Git around 1.5 litres of dark brown stinky fluid out, and around 1.8 back in. No idea where the 300ml went.
Gear changes moderately smoother but in my case not a game changer if I'm honest.
Yes, just remove the selector tower and pour the additive in that way.HI everyone!!! Is it possible to add a gearbox additive from the top of the gearbox and not from the fill plug for easier access???? Thank you!!
