Have you experienced any significant lacquer peel on your A2? Or seen examples?

Have you seen an A2 with significnt lacquer peel?

There has got to be a fault in certain bright or light red paint processes Steve which possibly makes them susceptible to something as simple as sunlight or detergent damage ?. I know its been said before but the worst i,ve seen is on Vauxhall Corsa,s which have reached a certain age. The entire body paint fades from glossy bright red to a pinky matt finish so its not just our A2,s - very odd.

I think the old Vauxhall's suffer from paint fade rather than lacquer peel.

I have seen lots of them (and as you say they are almost always red / maroon) But the difference there is a bit of T cut and elbow grease gets them back to a top paint finish.
