Lego show for charity

Good work Paul. I have pledged a donation.

A lego A2 is my dream; I currently have the following occupying space in my office...

Totally therapeutic the build; big boys toys indeed.

l love things like this.
You can see immediately that they are a great reproduction of the original while at the same time being so obviously "Lego"

To me t is a form of engineering and to be applauded.

Agree totally Steve. Some of the building techniques involved are spectacular to say the least; a true feat of engineering to ensure that the finished product aligns with the production vehicle - SFAIRP.

Good shout Paul; the parts themselves are windscreens if I am not mistaken. I have thought about contacting lego and might still do so; trouble is they are catering for a mass market and revenue, so it will likely be someone with skills such as yours that make a bespoke one vice an official product.

Thanks Paul; that is really good to hear. I'd still love to see an A2 made from our brick friends - maybe one day!

Appreciate the feedback; many thanks indeed.

Well, thanks to Mrs C and having a birthday last week, I was gifted the lego VW Beetle to add to the VW Camper Van, Mini Cooper and Ferrari F40 already part of the collection.

I was a tad sceptical that it wouldn't live up to the excellent camper and cooper, but I have to agree with you Paul, it is a fantastic model. It looks much better in the flesh than the photographs on the web. The techniques for the front wings and bonnet left me in awe, stunning creativity; a thoroughly enjoyable building experience and highly recommended for any car and lego enthusiast; age no barrier to the enjoyment to be had.

Yes I have it. Brilliant build with loads of detail. I highly recommend it.

I had the Lego Unimog for Christmas a few years ago - took me till well into Boxing day to finish and had sore fingers by the end :)

Simon.
