My A2 Project - 1.4 Sport Petrol

BREAKTHROUGH! !!!

I finally fitted my Votex jacking point cover, so one side of the A2 looks complete. Sounds like a simple job but was far from it. The previous owner use silicone to attach a temporary cover which was a right pain to remove, had to use a scalpel and a lot of patience :) i still have the temporary cover so i will use that when i get it sprayed up .

What a strange end of the day at AITP14 , after that lightening bolt that hit the ground close to our stand my A2 had a bit of a moment, firstly mine was the only car whose alarm went off then I said my goodbyes then started to leave, then every single warning light came it kept on cutting out, the revs kept on rising then dropping, not good :( I was lucky it happened at billing as I was surrounded by A2 experts with diagnostic equipment :) The code found was a leak in the manifold, code was cleared then I tried driving again but the same happened . So diagnosed again with the same code and code cleared, then everything was fine no warning lights etc..... and it's still running fine now !!!! I find it strange and coincidental that this happened after the lightening strike, because before that my little A2 was running fine. Sorry for my ramblings, but I thought I would share my strange experience with you .

Just arrived :) has false floor, double-DIN dash with in dash 6 disc changer, original mats and storage unit by the handbrake. Also bits I need for mine like glovebox and passenger side window switch. The alloys are in good condition, no major kurbing. All in all a nice A2. No to investigate if it's easy to do a false floor retrofit also time to research how to remove the glovebox.

Received my metal pressed plates today :) now I'll have to wait
for the dvla to sort the paperwork out .

much better quite fancy one myself, was it easy to swap over??

Very easy, considering I'm not good at that sort of stuff, just undone 2 screws and carefully removed without breaking any clips. Trust me if I can do it anyone can .
