No FM Radio!

With your rusty screws I would try wd40. Give them a spray and leave them for a bit and hopefully that will loosen them up a bit.
 
If I remember correctly, I removed mine with a 8 or 10mm socket with a long extension.

By the way, I just bought a new diversity unit from eBay for 35 USD. :D Hope I did not lose any of the fakra connectors when removing the faulty unit...
 
I have managed to get the diversity box & disconnect the wires, the strange thing is with the diversity box connected i get nothing at all but when it's disconnected & the wires are just hanging im able to get capital fm! not a perfect signal but you can understand what's going on but thats the only station it will faintly get!!
So what to do next?
Do I take the inside of the boot lid apart?
Or do I buy a new diversity box?

Well iv just been able to split the diversity box & this is what i found, best to get a new one?

Yep, buy a new one or just connect the antenna wires together like I explained in my post earlier...
 
This afternoon i tried connecting the 2 wires you showed in the picture but when i do the signal goes even worse!
 
Radio now works perfect since i put the new diversity box in but today I washed the car & water is still getting into the bottom section of the boot :(
So is the seal that I have to replace called something special? or does it have a part number etc...?
Also should I get it done by a garage or is it easy enough to do myself?
