OSS not operating properly

Evening all. Have recently purchased a low mileage 1.4tdi with oss.

First car with OSS so wasn’t sure how far the roof opens…

Now having researched and fiddled on the car, only the front section of the sunroof opens, it gets close to the middle section and just stops.

I’ve been fiddling today to see if I can work out what is going on. I managed to open the middle/second section of the roof manually as found a section which ‘pushes’ this second section up. The trouble is the front section doesn’t seem to connect with this second section thus not being able to pull second section closed…
Hope that makes sense…
Is this common and a relatively easy fix?

Not an easy fix, but the "go to" roof guru is @Kleynie who can sort your problem. Bit of a "hike" but he's the man.

My working OSS soon became a non-working OSS mid-service with me. It froze at a jaunty angle. I am really looking forward to @Kleynie sorting it. It was lovely for the week it worked!
