Awesome mate.I can happily report that the undertray from a petrol A2 fits a diesel A2. Mr Broons was kind enough to let me have a spare he had on the basis of nothing ventured, nothing gained. All that was needed to fit it were a few speedclips that had gone missing over the years (including some square ones that clip into the subframe), a couple of 10mm bolts and a handful of screws. From what I can tell the only difference between the petrol and diesel undertrays is the sound deadening that you get on the diesel ones but not on the petrol ones.
I just used the petrol one as it came, ie without any sound deadening. It’s fine, and better than having nothing at all. I don’t find the engine overly loud anyway.Looking good. Looking back you mention you fitted a petrol undertray, did you take these deadening section from a try and attach or live without?
As far as I know it's factory fitted. I think later cars got the slated grill, and mines a 2004 car.@Misano Man, I notice you have the slatted front grill, is that from factory do you know?
I’ve recently changed mine to slatted as the original was looked a bit tatty, and I think it looks much better imo!
Cheers Jeff
