Project peperami - (A2Steve)

I was always a sucker for solar orange but not sure that would go well with red leather mind.

My old mk2 TTS... Did see it a couple of months back with a black hood and bonnet :(

Is there a kind person out there who is a whizz with photoshop who would be able to do a mock up for me with the new colour?

Go on do it in solar orange as well when you're at it :D

Looks really good in brown - much better than silver for sure.

It’s funny because Jaipur is known as the ‘pink city’ - the colour of hospitality apparently.

I'm quite set on the Ipanama brown. It will look more brown once done than oranage and combined with a cream interior and some low suspension will look something special without being too much.

The strip down of my car has already started.

Driving a 1.4 petrol at present.....god they are slow :)

I love my 1.4 petrol!

Spent an hour tonight on the strip down. Rear numberplate surround off, wheel arches, arch liners and rear bumper. Coming along nicely.

Yup definitely missing a few parts there I can see :)

Breaker relegated to the drive for the time being then?

Jaipur Red (commonly known as orange!). It was only available until 2001, meaning A2s in this colour are quite rare. Personally, I really like it.

That's the colour, i really like them too, there was one for sale on this forum possibly a year ago about £5k from memory which looked a stunning car, open sky, bose twist sports leather etc etc. :p

There was a 1.4 petrol in Jaipur red with grey leather ex demonstrator..so had a lot of extras.. being sold earlier this yr near me.. it was under £1000.. with 124k mls... I arranged to view but decided against it with the mileage .. loved the colour.. if it had been diesel yes.. as for the debate 're petrol engined 1.4 .. iv got the 1.6 fsi.. 90tdi .. and 1.4 petrol & my son's got a 1.4 petrol .. the one I've got has leather & oss & u notice the weight..hence not very quick or agile.. my sons Billy basic 1.4 is very sprightly..light & agile .. but non are as quick or as agile as the fsi.. the tdi 90 on the other hand has great torque which gives it almost the feel of an auto with lusty low revs .. but u notice the weight of the engine ..
