Roof Bars on OSS Roof

Just put My Roof Bars on the car for the first time, to take a double mattress to the tip, Is this a god idea on OSS as one corner of the plastic was sitting
on the glass in the front section.
Mission completed under wife's orders, but is it right ?

Yes they are , first time ever used them on my car.

Yes OK; done it made times. You could move the fixing points slightly so you do not put clamping forces directly on the corner of the glas.

Agreed, with a bit of adjustment forward/backwards they can be made to sit just missing the glass, I've transported some pretty heavy stuff on my genuine roof bars on the OSS A2 and my OSS still works. as above, opening the roof by mistake, or dropping something heavy onto the glass are the things that stress me with it. cheers

Pretty sure the only ones that are useable with the OSS are genuine Audi bars. They come up now and again so might be worth placing a wanted add.
