Roof box for my A2

Hi,

Does anyone know if I would need to purchase additional adapters when using the Kamei 380 Delphin with genuine Audi roof bars?

The advert stipulates bars up to 44mm will be okay without, but beyond that additional adapters will be required. I have tried to measure the Audi bars, but to be honest they look borderline to 50mm. I would rather order the box and adapters, (if required), in one hit.

Any help appreciated.

Did you need the adapters or does the box go straight on the oem bars, as this is something to look at in the future, got gen' bars now

When you purchase the box you will be given the option of what adaptors you will need. Go to the roofbox website and have a look.

To recap, am I correct in assuming with OSS the best option is OE bars or Thule and the weight limit is 40kg? I see reference is made to length, I may neeed a box long enough for skis, can anyone see any issue?
 
Have ordered the Kamei 380 plus T bar fittings for Audi OEM bars - any advice on how the fittings work with the top rubber insert?
