Very annoyed indeed ...... my little darling has most inconveniently developed some seriously unhealthy noises coming from the front brakes / suspension - nothing blindingly obvious that I can see, but until it gets looked at properly and rectified (next week at the very earliest) it's not going anywhere. Hope you all have a great weekend and the weather holds up.

Just to add to the local roads info, there is a lane closed in the last mile of the A90 before Dundee (Swallow Roundabout) - this is causing reasonable congestion over a number of miles when there is any traffic heading "north" (eastbound from Perth). Opportunity to bypass this by going through Strathmore (cross country to Forfar) before heading up towards Aberdeen
The cones have been removed overnight so there should be less by way of unexpected holdups going in this direction.

Hi George,

having seen Tom's post about workshop congestion on Saturday I've managed to secure permission to come up tomorrow after work if that's ok - I have a sleeping bag, is there anywhere suitable I could park up / kip? Expect I'd be with you some time after 6 depending on traffic leaving Dundee.

Hi Robin, yes you can camp overnight, it’s £5 a night to charity

@ICowie,

Will you be there on Friday and/or Sunday?
I’m barely going to have time to breathe on Saturday, so I’m looking for work that can be done on other days.

Cheers,

Tom
@timmus
I'm coming up on the Friday so I could be there from Lunchtime onwards or all day Sunday whichever suits you better?

Good morning, folks.

Apologies for the delayed reply. I had absolutely no time to get on the forum yesterday, as I was working on various A2s along my route to Aberdeenshire.

I perhaps should have sent my initial message about Saturday to Iain via private message. Being the lovely lot that you all are, I've been somewhat inundated with messages offering to reschedule jobs away from Saturday. As such, I'm now in danger of facing the opposite problem: too much to do on other days, and not enough to keep me busy on Saturday. So, whilst I am extremely grateful to everyone for their thoughtfulness and consideration, I'd like to propose the following...

Friday (today!): all of the jobs on @George Hogg's fleet of A2s.
Saturday: @Robin_Cox, @annspo and others.
Sunday: @ICowie, @annspo (if not done on Saturday) and others.
Monday: Loose ends followed by the drive home.

This schedule should allow me to divide the jobs fairly equally across all days, and should hopefully avoid a 1am finish like last year! :)
I hope that suits you all.

Will only be able to be there Sunday as unable to drive & require Vera to get me about. Timmus was going to be fitting my steering wheel for me & hoping Tom remembers to bring it up with him.

Hi Peter,

Unfortunately, by the time your messages about this arrived here and in my inbox, I had already left home. I hate to disappoint, but your MFSW stuff is all in my workshop by the shores of Morecambe Bay. I was unaware that you were attending the social this weekend. :(

Hope you all have a great weekend and the weather holds up.
That's a shame, Neil. I hope the repairs go smoothly. Until next time.

Cheers,

Tom

Warning for the Scottish Meeting at Wynford. There’s danger of the tar on the roads melting!
See you all soon :) get your sun tan cream on.

This is from the local weather wizard Windy Wilson

I can vouch for exactly what a sun trap Wynford is - had a good sleep overnight in the grounds and awoke around half 6 to the chorus of peacocks and cockerels adjacent. I would like to thank George and Ruth again for your welcome when I appeared unheralded yesterday evening and excellent coffees this morning - I look forward to coming up to Wynford again. Hope you had a wonderful day out while I was in the workshop with Tom and enjoy the BBQ this evening!

Yes another delightful meet up and great finding out stuff you didn't know you didn't know. The weather was also very kind yesterday unlike today but a fine barbecue from George had the evening close all too soon. Thank you

Hello fellow A2ers,

I got back home from the Wynford Farm social late last night, after 4 days in George's workshop.

As always, it was lovely seeing a bunch of enthusiastic A2 owners gathered together. It was great seeing familiar faces and matching new faces with A2OC usernames.

Many thanks to George and Ruth for hosting the social and for looking after me whilst I looked after A2s. :)

See you all in the same place next year, I hope.

Cheers,

Tom
