speedo fluctuating

Hi i wonder if you can help, I have a 1.4 tdi and over the past few days, the speedo has been fluctuating whenever I accelerate. When I take my foot off the accelerator it steadies to the correct speed, and adjusts correctly as the car slows down. As soon as I touch the accelerator again it begins fluctuating.

Any advice greatly received. papa_j

Very strange.

Would advise a diagnostic scan to be honest.

Cud be a faulty speed sensor or something

Good thinking and fairly obvious one you said, its all down to wheelspin due to icy roads.
