Switch Transfers

Anyone else had problems with the transfers on switches (A2 1.6 Fsi - transfers on fuel cap release switch, temperature control switch and heater/fan control switch). Does anyone supply new transfers or do I have to replace the switches. Thanks

Hi Peter--its a common problem with later cars. Audi decided to use a soft touch coating to the interior of their cars, but its far from durable. I feel its oil from our skin that breaks the finish down over timer-along with long finger nails !
It is possible to swap the air-con panel switches with either un damaged ones or ones that are just black and not soft touch. The rest just swap out with new or again un damaged ones.
marker pen helps but doesn't last long cheers mike

Yes as Mike posted a common problem across the Audi range, i got a aircon unit from an A4 that looked the same as ours ie all switches the same and just swapped them over yes they are black but they don't look as bad as the faded switches
