Oldskool and James, I'd refer you to the many recommendations for Varta batteries on not just this thread, but sprinkled all over the site. No need to spend £115 at ECP on a lower capacity battery from a manufacturer with a lesser reputation than Varta.
Just ordered a Varta F18, 110 Silver from Tanya-batteries on ebay, with 20% off.... £78.36 delivered! Bargain.

F18 now showing back in stock!
Which to choose?
I'd go for the F19 over the F18 unless you have the OEM spare wheel kit, which requires the slightly shorter battery.
Yes I do have one of the original collapsible spare wheel kits but I believe it still works fine with the taller F19 190mm high battery as it's the same physical size as the original (315L x 175W x 190H) ?
From memory, it was @Proghound who suggested the spare wheel kit required a 175mm tall battery. Not having one, I can't speak from personal experience.
Remember the old saying, "Buy cheap, buy twice" Very true in this instance. Remember, the Audi OE battery is a Varta for the A2 and some of these have lasted 10 years or more.
My old OEM one would stop cranking over after parked for 2+ days after 18 years of service...
Just fitted a yuasa battery but would like to know if it is necessary to take the small plug out and reconnect the breather pipe
