These are quite a good weight for such a wide 17” wheel:

Not the lightest from the A8 D2 range but not the worst either and the look good.

I think you will find that the rear of wheel photo is not from those wheels and it's a mistake.

A3 8L version look identical and use the same centre caps as A2 SE wheels but are ET44 and wider at 7J x 16

They do fit perfectly as they are a 5x100 fitment too but require spacers between 5 and 15mm to push them outwards and prevent rubbing on the wheel arch liners.

Edit- they will also require the standard A3 tyre size of 205/55/16 replacing too so you are actually right in saying they don't fit as they are

You can't fix too low ET with spacers.

You can't fix too low ET with spacers.

No obviously not, spacers lower the ET number (or bring the wheels further outwards) but 5 to 15mm spacers bring down the ET (or offset) of 44 on the wheels that we were referring to between 39 and 29. Personally I would fit 10mm spacers on these wheels and bring the ET down to a nice mid point for the A2 at 34

They are 195 60 15 Yokohama WDrive Winters. I know they are slighly biggers but no rubbing as ive done the steve edwards dune look on this car, some may spot the cheeky allroad sticker on the side

Where there two slightly different styles of 17” nine-spoke sport alloys?

Asking as I currently have two A2s on the drive, but one has arms that have a continuous ridge (and seemingly a deeper dish) but the other does not!

Could anyone clarify/explain?!?

If you remove them I think you will find that one set are original Audi, probably Ronal, and the other set aftermarket.
