Thinking of an A2

I have a sporty looking fsi for sale cheap. High mileage but been well looked after and maintained. Paintwork shines up like a new car! :) and has a few extras added, it's in the selling forum

Your car looks wonderful. For me I am looking for a purely original example car in a non standard colour, low mileage (>80K) with an impeccable service history at the right price....me and thousands of others hey!

Sorry for delay in replying, it's not a car I own however it was offered to me but I declined as I personally prefer diesels.

I'll message the seller as I did suggest he try and sell it on here and I always try and promote the club where I can, several times I've suggested the forum to people selling their A2's, I hope that's okay to do?

Maybe a moderator could let me know and the cost to the owner / seller to advertise their car please.

I'll let you know how I get on and post once I know what he is doing with it.

Hi Nick,

A seller would need to join the club first in order to sell on the market place and there are no fees involved. We just need a valid address field in the application and an honest reason for joining.

I've just trawled my phone call list and I was offered two FSI's one had 32k and they other mid twenties as I said in my original post, I've left a voicemail for a chap called Ian who rang me in September with a 32k Fsi but I can't find the other persons number just yet, I'll have a look on the landline as I might not have saved his number.

Will post when I know more.

Hi Nick

There is no cost to advertise a car on the forum. The only requirement is that the person is a member of the club i.e they have registered as a user on the forum (again free).

It's not the best that the owner is only joining when its time to sell their car as it would be nicer that they have joined whilst being an owner but that said its always good to get a head-up of A2's for sale, especially if they are not being advertised elsewhere.

If we get an onslaught of A2's for sale by new members then perhaps it would have to be reviewed, I can't speak for the team but I personally don't see any issue with it at all at present.

Hi Paul

I've found the number as I hadn't saved it as it was a landline call.

I've spoken to a chap called Stuart and Jake was his colleague that called me a couple of weeks ago, they haven't done anything with the A2 yet, they own a garage in Devon so they are a trade seller.

I've suggested again they try the club, it's not advertised anywhere else just yet, it's a 2004 he thinks... 24,000 mile Red 1.6 Fsi.

I've said it's been mentioned on here and that maybe he'd like to join the club and if it's sold through here maybe they'd like to donate something like £50 towards the club running costs as they are a garage selling this particular car, "hope that's okay to suggest (moderators)?"

I don't know anymore than I've said, but please do your own mechanical etc checks and obviously make sure you HPI it as well.

Hope this helps, if the other owner (Ian) of the 32k mile FSI calls me back I'll repeat to him what I said to Stuart.

Hi Jake and a friendly welcome to the club,

Your car sounds really nice and I am sure that with its low mileage there will be a fair amount of interest here. If it is confirmed for sale please may I suggest you start a new thread in the market place "for sale" section. This way you would have better "coverage".... as it stands it may get lost in this thread.

I would also please ask that you state a price and perhaps post up some photo,s.... even those not wishing to buy still like to see them !.
