Wheel wobble

These look good too - and currently extremely low bidding price.

So, i ended up winning the bid on the wheels that Dan_b found on ebay. Thanks Dan.
Only problem i have now is getting them couriered down from Walsall to Kingston in Surrey. Can anyone suggest a cheap reliable courier service that I should use?

Also, what would the overall weight (ish) be for all four wheels (16")?? I haven't a clue.

Nice one - hope the winning price was competitive?!
Estimate at 10kg per wheel. I've actually sent alloys (plus tyres) through ParcelForce in the past with no issues, but there are many.

Now to get yourself some good low rolling resistance tyres...

You got a complete bargain there, just seen the winning auction price, you must be very pleased!

Thanks, I wasn't expecting to win to be honest. Just stuck in a max bid and left it :)
I'm going to have a look at http://www.shiply.com/ –*they were recommended on Money Saving Expert.

Yeah, i'll see about getting the tyres you suggested.

In terms of websites, look at blackcircles.com, eventtyres.co.uk, and the online kwikfit prices (the online prices are cheaper than the depot prices).

For tyres, how about Michelin Energy Saver, and Hankook Ventus Prime?

Camskill is a good site for range and cost, but mytyres and blackcircles are also very good.

GoodYear Efficient Grip is one of the best low rolling resistance tyres out there which doesn't cost as much as the Michelins. I have Hankook Ventus Prime 105s which are also good on rolling resistance and noise, but I'm not sure if you can still get them?

Had my wheels and new tyres fitted last week and the wheel wobble has completely gone! :)
Unfortunately the car now pulls hard to the left. Is this a common problem when downsizing from 17" wheels (205/40) to 16" (195/50)?

I've booked it in at my local garage tomorrow to get them realigned. Hopefully they'll fix it.
