Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye!

The bottom line is you are pissed off with the car and the dealer. Any little thing that goes wrong with the A2 is going to bug you out of all proportion.

I doubt the A2 residuals in 4 years will be that hot anyway. I would follow your heart and go for your SEAT. I don't think you have ever fallen out of love with them!

The financial loss really hurts but as long as you get enough to buy the SEAT, then I don't see that you have actually lost anything. You haven't spent any more money and you have the got the car you probably really should have got in the first place!

Best of luck anyway.

Steve,

Eeek... lots of unhappiness here. Sounds like you have a pretty poor dealer. As I've noted in my previous posts, my experience with our dealer has been 180 degrees from yours. Maybe this is an exception but it's made sorting the niggles out much less stressful.
At the end of the day the A2 has a 3 year warranty - so if anything goes wrong you can happily take it back to Audi. Our dealer sorted out a squeaking OpenSky roof under warranty (and the gas recirc thing) way after the first year was up.
Having said that I would stiull want to get the squeaks sorted (this stuff drives me mad too) - so I would try to engage a different dealership. I don't believe there is any reason why you should need to take the vehicle back to the place that you bought it from. I'd be tempted to find another dealer, explain the issues that you've had and ask if they can take a look at the issues under warranty. They will be canny enough to realise that if they treat you right they'll get your business for servicing and (maybe, if things work out) for replacement vehicles in the future. Maybe someone else in the forum can advise of Audi dealers that have provided a better customer service in your 'local' area.
If you're still not happy in ~2 years then this is probably a better time to cut and run financially (depends on your annual mileage).
Hope this all works out for you.
