Have owned or been given many vehicles over the years(sales rep) and thought I should list them and give them some sort of rating. It may assist any insomniacs amongst you!
1938 Ford 8. £5.00 from Pride and Clarke of Brixton, London. What a motor, did wonders for this 18 year old petrol head. Girls couldn't get enough.
1962 Lambretta scooter. Dog, but got me around to see my team(Crystal Palace) in the old 3rd Division South.
1963. Vespa sportique. Cool dude,
1964. First new vehicle. Vespa SS 200. Dogs dodahs. So cool, even remember the reg BLH878B. Many mods including the coolest bronze exhaust system which would put a smile on Maddonas face and made the police in terested! Toured France Italy and Switzerland one summer. Oh to be young again, those girls.
1965 Issetta bubble. BMW motor bike engine. What a laugh.
1966 Heinkel bubble. Well some-one had to buy one.
1966 Ford Cortina mk1. Serious business man, gonna make his mark. Shocking old boat.
1967. Brand new supplied by company. Ford cortina mk 2. Err, heated rear window and radio!! and seat belts.
1969. Vauxhall Victor. 1600. Column change, plastic front and rear bench seats. A bit dicy when you corned fast. Seat belts!
1970 to 1978 Ford Cortinas including a GT 200. Plus Morris minor for wife.
1979 Saab 900GL. Nice car.
1982 Citroen GS. Interesting experience!
1982 Volkswagen beetle 1303. Excellent.
1985 Citroen 2cv. Great car.
1987 to 1990 Various Austin Rovers
1990 to 1992 Various Volvos.
1993 Ford fiesta ok.
1995 Vauxhall Corsa. Very good
1998 Peugeot 205. ok
2002 Citroen c3. Superb. Still using. Reliable and ecconomical. Rattles everywhere.
2004 Audi a2. Jans car really but grab it at the weekend.

cars r us

1920 something Riley, would be worth a fortune now - cost a fiver.
Austin Cambridge Year ?
Austin A40 Somerset about1960 definitely worth a fortune now.
Austin A40 Farina
Austin 1100
Talbot Alpine, I loved it.
MG Maestro (with the talking dashboard). The salesman said this was the dogs B..... when I bought and a dog when I tried to sell it 8 months later.
MG Montego, very under rated, I had it years and years.
Ford Sierra, company car. Gearbox and transmission all fell off on the M4. After repair I wouldnt get in it again, so the firm gave me an upgraded Sierra, went for years, and is still going in Norfolk.
Volvo V70 2.5T bought new, all the toys, still got it, it's a superb car.
Audi A2, bought new, almost all toys, still got it, a really nice small car.

I'm sure I've missed some, and I havent included the firm's cars.

Motorbikes, too many to mention covering all major makers, but never a Suzuki (no reason, just didnt). The one most loved and yearned for again, my Douglas MkV. Worst ever BSA C11G (with a hinge built in to the frame!!).

Memories of going to Tech (now laughingly called University), the other apprentices with Calthorpe, Levis, Dot, AJS 7R(really), Vincent 1000, Panther,Velocette, Sunbeam, BSA Gold Star, Royal Enfield etc. etc. Every one of those lads could strip and rebuild their bikes, usually on the kitchen table. Very different today, one Chartered Engineer on my staff could not change a wheel on his car, I had to!

Enough he cried......

Hmmm, here´s my list:

1993 Volvo 740 Diesel (pulled really good....up to 60 mph, then nothing)
1994 Audi 100 Avant 2.5 TDI (first TDI and fastest car I ever had)
1999 Audi A6 Avant 1.9 TDI (was really cheap and realiable)
2001 Audi A2 1.2 TDi (was good when the Transmission and clutch worked and we were not waiting for spare parts)
2003 Audi A2 1.4 TDI (still have it)

Bye, Frido.

Done this before I believe but............................

Hooly we are both ..... advanced in years I believe.

Bikes
Bantam
Norman 2T
Saint
Seely Honda Trial
Yamaha Mono Trial

Hillman Imp
Singer Chamois (full race conversion - revved to 10,000 fro 75 bhp in 1973!)
MGB Roadster
Triumph Dolomite Sprint (the ONLY reliable one - still alive in Edinburgh!!!!)
Ford Fiesta 1300 Ghia - quite a quick motor in its day.
Ford Escort 1300 Ghia - a luxurious (for 1979) slug.
Ford Sierra 1600 Laser (first new car- vandalised on its first birthday!)
Fiesta XR2 - a good car, great fun except in snow
Escrot RS Turbo Mk 2 - another good car loads of torque (for a non diesel in 1987)
Sierra XR 4x4 - again a smashinig motor - bought new and run for 3 trouble free and grinning years, I still sort of miss it. Maybe i'll get a quattro A4.
BMW 320 coupe - fun but not well built, after three years....................
BMW 328 Coupe - even greater fun but a dead engine after 2 years and 28k took the gloss off - strange 'cos nikasil liners had been dropped by the bike guys years before.......................
Alfa GTV - better than the BMs, quieter in the cruise and it did not drop to bits BUT front wheel drive..............................................
A2 1.4 TDISE - cracking car
A3 2.0 TDI Sport DSG - even better.................. back to a 'quick car' but using less fuel than most of the previous motors (with the one noticeable exception of the last entry.

Whyte PRST 1 mountain bike - double wishbone front suspension to no loss of trail on compression, 6" of travel both ends and 80mm discs, weight 27lb
Cannondale Road bike - 30 mph on the flat easily and weighs 16lb.
Saracen 'pub bike', weight (with slicks) 34lb - keeps you fit on return from the hostelry - its at the bottom of a long hill, getting there is quick though.

Forgot 'her AX, SAxo diesel and how could I...........
The Toyroegeot - a brilliant car!!!!!!!

The first was an MG Metro (enough said)

Fiat Uno Turbo (went to a motorpsort company for lowering & performance improvements and then need a stronger clutch and brakes which ended up costing more and more)

BMW 316 (Too low to the ground for the rear diff, so they told me, it whined and locked on the A14 at 70mph)

Renault 5GT turbo (you can guess the theme, low and uprated)

Peugeot 205 GTI 1.6 (as above) (This and the GT turbo are i believe the best hot hatches, even if 3rd gear didn't work going down the gearbox in the 205)

Renualt Clio 16V (see Renault 5)

New Beetle 1.6 2001 bought new (needed new gearbox in less than 1000 miles, seat and window replaced faulty the list goes on)

New Beetle TDI 2004 bought new(3x EGR valves in engine less than 6 months old and loads more stuff, got rid, bought our little baby.

A2 TDI sport and i love the fact that they are so rare!

Polo 1.1 Formel E, circa 1983 - Over 100K on the clock but still solid.
Moving on to a Nissan Bluebird 1.6 LX with all the bells & whistles - just not a great looker. Huge sound system though culminating in a Rockford Fosgate 15" sub & 600W of amplification. No boot space. Written off.
Datsun Cherry, Old Y reg, bought as a cheap replacement for above. I was young & only had 3rd party insurance. Reliable. Big Durex sticker in the back window.
D reg Mk2 Astra 1.6 GL. Lowered with 15" TSW Stealths & big exhaust. Big sound system which got stolen. The first car I replaced a head gasket on - very brave of me...
F reg Carlton 2.0L CD. Nice car. My first rear driver & very easy to get it drifting - sometimes too easy. Paint laquer peeling on the bonnet - exactly the same as what happened on the Astra.
2000 Mk 2 Punto HGT. First brand new car. Great fun but apalling build quality. Both seats were falling apart & rust bubbles were appearing. Sold on it's 3rd birthday.
2002 Passat V5. Ex demonstrator, so fully loaded with every extra. This is my favorite car but running costs were extreme & I only do about 4K miles a year, so it only lasted 7 months before I put on my sensible head & got my current car.
2002 Corsa Life 1.0L. Small & slow but perfect for what I need it for.

The A2 is the wifes.
Her list includes - in no particular order - a Chevette, Renault 5, Fiestas, an Escort, an Orion and finally A2 No1 followed by A2 No2.

Current: Saab 9-3 Aero (the proper classic coupe shape); A2 FSI; Jazz

Here goes

1971 Morris Minor (bought by wife 2 years before we got married and sold six months after) Interesting in the wet, not too bad on snow. No radio, no nothing!
Replaced by New Fiesta 950 Pop Plus - Wow it had a radio and a rear wash wipe!
Replaced by new Sierra 1.6L - great in snow and lasted us 9 years before it was traded for ..
Sierra 1.8GLX Saphire - second hand but great car, fifth gear was a novelty for SWMBO.
During the tenure of the last two I also drove numerous hire cars mainly Cavalier 1.8 and 1.7TDs, Sierra 1.8s, Mondeo 1.8s, Escort 1.6s and one Mondeo 1.8TD (one of the early ones - awful), Primea 1.8s, one Carina (why did they put the indicators on the wrong side of the steering wheel) two Montegos (awful) and for a week a Carlton Diplomat 2.0 (wow - was it loaded with toys. Boss wanted to know what I was doing with it as I was supposed to get 1.6 Escorts!)
Then the company cars arrived so in parallel;

I had
Vectra 1.8GLS
Vectra 2.0 TD LS
Passat 1.8 SE Auto (Boring)
Vectra 2.5 v6 CD Auto (so thirsty)
Passat 1.8 SE Man (boring)
Passat 1.8 SE Turbo (Could be fun and more economical than the std 1.8! - would spin BOTH front wheels at the same time)
Honda Accord 2.2 iCDTi (marvelous)

While she had
Micra 1.0 Wave (the Microwave)
Renault Scenic 1.6 Alize (after three years it had a mind of its own - never again)
