Hello,

Having a crack at fitting the top mount assembly onto the spring and shock (both new)

Hiw do you stop the spring moving from its lower stop position while tightening the top nut? 😒

Thanks

It's so obvious now 🙄 😆 yeah it has actually, busy in the world of crisps, had solve the puzzle of black pepper not sticking to the crisps 😉

Thanks for the guidance!

Is that a vintage German socket set you have there? Looks complete in nice condition.
Yes was my dad's tool 🔧 from his early days as a mechanic, car geek, doing stuff on standard 8s and old cars like mk1 lotus courtinas! It's still a decent 1\2 drive set the main rather is loose now though and sockets fall off.bit easy! I use a modern handle on it mostly. Love the speed wrench though, underrated.

German, old and extremely rare. With family history too.
If you set up an eBay search for Schmole tools a ratchet may eventually appear. Then you could substitute or repair your Dad’s ratchet. Nice set of tools to have and use.

Man that's cool! I love the fact they're German too! To be honest that's the first time I've even looked to see what make! I'll keep it well cared now thanks for the info. (My dad's still alive by the way, he just doesn't spanner now, just tinkers)
