Lowering using fabia springs

I really wanted to lower my se tdi non-oss by just an inch to achieve a nice stance.

I used fabia tsi vrs eibach spring kit :

AUTODOC https://m.autodoc.co.uk/eibach/1930156
and bilstein b4 shocks, new febi 37884 top mounts. Meyle HD 270mm droplinks
The result is its higher at front and roughly same at the back.

The eibach springs rated 960kgfand tdi a2 front axle load sticker says something like 830 kg on the amf. I guess this is my problem.

A few people have fit this setup and achieved a wonderful look.

Anyone got any ideas on other front springs that will lower the front a touch with b4 shocks? I'm scared of h&r as they are said to be avoided for firmness..maybe it will settle? Doubt it though!

Gutted and thought of removing shocks again is awful..

How do you know the front is high?

The black rubbing strip that runs below both doors is parallel to the ground when the car is level.

The shape of the front arch on the A2 gives a false impression of height.

Hope you have better roads as I swapped from sport suspension to standard a few years ago.

Evening Graham,

Fair point, I must admit I have read this and seen a fair few posts with higher fronts. I know for sure the fronts that came off were all 23 years old in their entirety so likely running lower anyway.

I will post a picture soon to see how it's sitting (rear bearing shot so not on road)

I may bite bullet and fit standard springs back on again. Just odd other people fit same and it looks fantastic.

Roads here are okay plus it does motorway miles and come end of year will be a sub 5k miles car.

Were they Fabia 6Y springs Edd? I didn’t think they did a TSI in that year and so perhaps you’ve bought higher rated springs.

Maybe the issue is that they are VRS springs for a 1.9 car. Most of the posts relating to this refer to the “standard” Fabia lowering springs. They fit on both the petrols and diesels and have a lower spring rate

I just checked autodoc and found the following:

Fabia 6y 1.9tdi vrs
E10-79-001-05-22
Eibach pro front 960 kg rear 840
kg

Fabia 6y 1.4 tdi
Eibach pro E7911-140
front 900 kg rear 800 kg

So looks.like I shoukd have bout the 1.4tdi models pro kit 😞

Anyone confirm?

I believe the Sport variant of A2 is a bit lower.
Just measured centre to under side of wheel arch on my Sport, which is original, and here are the results:
Front: 345 mm
Rear: 335 mm
Mac.

Thanks for checking, although am i right in thinking aftermarket sport springs aren't out there?
I scanned autodoc and they all said 338m springs.
Can you supply a link? I might prefer sport a2 after all. I like my sport 90atl I had once.

I believe it's a combination of shorter springs, and different spring cups, but I only have a vague idea really.
There's a post somewhere saying the Sport springs are 10 mm shorter than standard, so cups are likely to be about 10 mm too.
Is anyone breaking a Sport, who can help?
Mac.

I noticed that 7zap shows two versions of the lower spring cups. Probably 10 mm difference. Sport and standard.
There's lots of posts that mention Sport springs, and a huge amount of detail, but after browsing some of them, nothing definitive is n Sport springs.
Audi dealer or Ekta, using a Sport VIN would, (probably), clear things up ... a bit.

The E7911-140 are the ones you need.

I have these under my BBY with OSS
