Clocked just over 1500 miles since installing the ProBoost in Betty (Blue)
500 of which was a fast run at the weekend of nearly to Falmouth and back. Averaged 52 and a bit mpg via M25, M4 (convoy ish part of the way with a Silver FSI with stickers on boot and fuel flap. Anyone, Anyone, Bueller?, M5 & A30). Return via A30, A303 (spirited), M3 & M25. Full round trip 48ish mpg. Not bad and was running beautifully
Specifically today
Drove the 15 odd miles over to see my Dad on his 94th Birthday & delivered just the essentials (nice and unusual wine & a card)
My reward? 1st FSI EML on start up after sitting for 45mins, ignition off and restart. Starts fine, idles fine, responds fine, engine may nothing obvious amiss....
Ginger drive, more than fine. Decide to gently get back to my place and put on VCDS
Saved & cleared the codes. Have not done a search for P1364 yet, nor restarted.
Let's see what tomorrow brings & hopefully not two sickly FSI's

Update - No EML
Two restarts, short run to shop and back, so engine not fully warm
Thinking it is maybe a heat soak / aging component thing, resulting in possibly higher resistance than ECU liked?
From previous history, coil pack life span seems to be 15-20k miles. Is this in-line with others experience?
Is the consensus to change after X years and / or Y miles. I really don't like the let it fail, break down and deal with it later approach to maintenance if there is a well documented and understood service life on a component
Currently fitted with 4x Bosch coil packs (made in Turkey, as per the brand new set for the Silver FSI). They are somewhat dusty and dirty but otherwise look good. Wiring visually looks ok, but not tested. 85.5k miles & they would have been run very hot for near 2x sets of 5 hours at the weekend without break
Reciept in file for all 4x CPs 8th September 2018
Invoice for an oil change 2nd October 2018 at 65k miles
20k miles on the current CPs
AA Callout to EML & misfire. Bill for 3x Bosch CP's - Feb 2014
51k Miles
Checked the coils I pulled off the silver car 2x Chinese scrap & 2x Delphi CE20030 (KX08G) packs which look pretty new, but no known long term history
Run it and see what happens for a couple of weeks as full service is due imminently in the next 6 weeks anyway?
Others, way more knowledgeable please chip in ref lifespan of CPs
