Well I managed to get the front sports leathers in this afternoon and I must say I'm chuffed to bits!
Here's a few pics of the process!
Apologies if these are in reverse order lol!
Just need conditioning now and some hairdryer treatment on the dimples!
Big thanks to Manhattan$ Paul for great advice, top man!

Well I had the pleasure and company of Timmus (Tom) today and he fitted up the wiring loom for my heated leather sports seats along with electric lumbar, had a most pleasant drive home from a mates garage where we sheltered from the showers for the install with a nice warm backside, also fitted me some heated mirror lenses which are great, First class service again from Tom and meticulous as always in his approach!
Here's a few before, during and after pics, albeit a bit muddled!
Thanks Tom!!
Till the next time!

There wasn't quite enough space in the garage for both front seats and me, so one had to stay in the car. I could easily have fallen asleep had someone turned off the lights, though; my 'day job' (if you can call it that) has been mad recently, hence my comparative lack of participation on the forum of late.
I'm pleased you're pleased with the latest addition to your A2, Jeff. Your personal holy grail is definitely coming on nicely.

Cheers,

Tom

Give the old girl a good clean today (the car I mean) and finally got the A2oc stickers in pride and place!
Just need to sort the metal badges now,

I now have the metal badges in my possession and so they will be back on general sale, via this forum, very shortly, when we have verified the price and approach etc.

I also have the stickers too and some key rings (very basic ones).

So watch this space for details of what we are planning with these.

Took the car for a run down to the 02 Arena today for a Father's Day meal with my grown up kids 19,19 and 21 respectively! Ahh showing my age now lol
Couldn't resist this pic of the car in all its crowning glory!,
Great day out on the cable car too!

DIS RETROFIT CARRIED OUT!

Something I've been looking forward to for a long time is the Dis conversion and this was finally carried out this week by 'Timmus' who once again did a superb job!
It really is nice knowing what you are doing fuel consumption wise and just seeing a full screen display is so much better than a split screen!
Coupled with the conversion I have added a new sports steering wheel, with some bespoke detailing, this I managed to get from another member, I really love the feel of the sports wheel and as its complimented with platinum stitching it sets itself off really well imo,
Cheers again Tom for another superb job!

Sports gearshift next job lol!

Thank you Jeff for the kind words.

This was a particularly satisfying retrofit. At the start there was a standard 4-spoke steering wheel, the small display between the dials and a boggo wiper stalk. A few hours later, the 'cockpit' had had a big lift in terms of looks and functionality. I sat in the driver's seat and admired Jeff's beautiful interior for a few moments after I'd finished.

It was also a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. The DIS retrofit was performed on a hotel car park the day before Kimbolton Fayre. The weather was glorious and there were plenty of A2OC members to keep me company, even if they were drinking Pimm's in the sunshine as I worked. :)

Cheers,

Tom

Some great work and mods going into this, love that steering wheel.

What's your future mods or are you done?
