Today, a couple of hours ago, "I" fixed the exhaust leakage. The garage that changed my catalytic converter plus front piece a year a go did it for free Just tightening some bolts. My 5 year old son liked the "tuned" sound the A2 had before the repair because that made him believe that we had the fastest A2 in town (world)

The green machine passed the MOT with flying colours today. Poured with rain all day, so came straight out of the garage to the testing station. No time to double check anything so a bit of a gamble on the result.
Soon be ready for it's first event at Leeds in June. Loads of TLC been going on, cleaning and polishing, cruise control and komfort blinker fitted. Found some original rubber mats (used but have cleaned up ok). Two sets of wheels refurbished, one set of toyo proxes CF 2 fitted. Sourced a spacesaver spare and fittings. New discs and pads + rear shoes, also rear mudflaps but alas no front ones yet. Just a few odds and sods to sort and its all go .
Looking forward to meeting everyone at Leeds in June... Graham. ..

...decided that the time has come to sell my A2. I've already bought another A2 so I'm not going anywhere but I want to get the money together to buy a mk1 TT. Watch this space for a for sale advert soon although I've tried parting with it before and it wouldn't let me.

Roadster or hardtop? V6 or 1.8 225? Love the Mk1 TT. I looked for one too a decade or so ago. Early onset mid life crisis in my mid 30s :p

Very affordable classic now. Good luck sourcing one that's up to your standards Steve.

Oh dear.

Today I cried **** when I found my injector seals leaking, only had the manifold off two hundred miles ago!
Still enjoying the car enough not to be too put out about spending the time repairing it. Great forum by the way folks, I'll be contributing to the pool of knowledge in the near future when I've sorted it out.....

I changed the micro-switch in the driver's door. WHAT a job! You have to take almost everything out of the door! Window-guide frame, door handle , etc. It's the only way to get it out! My fuel-flap had also not been opening automatically. It does now!

Glad you're all sorted now David ;-)

discovered that my punishment for leaving a certain someone at Heathrow for a week is air con failure (just as the weather warms up of course). She is in for a service on Friday so hopefully after a bit of love and attention from Mark, she will be fine for the weekend

Today I said a farewell to my first A2 - my loved Fsi. I purchased it with 21k miles on the clock and it now has 173k miles. I have replaced it with another A2 but I will miss it- the Fsi has been fantastic -fast and economical in all those miles I averaged 48mpg and if taken easy it would average 50+ per tank.
So good buy I to the fsi.

Hello tdi special edition
