Yesterday....parked back to back with this 1.6 (debadged - but had diskbrakes at the rear) Open Sky, black leather sport seats, S-line. Nice view from the livingroom.
Today it was gone, so it was a brief encounter.....maybe because my FSI has developed an exhaust disease, not only is the engine light on....something is seriously loose down under - so has to find an exhaust repair shop soon.

Perhaps it was the leaves from the tree falling on it ;)

...loaded my A2 to the hilt with scaffold boards and a home made garden chair from work (I'm in charge of a DT department) and marvelled at the A2's phenomenal interior space .

I also realised how hooked I've become on the A2 since buying mine in March.

My wife is considering going back into nursing which could involve a commute. She mentioned we could get a lower mileage second car - I immediately responded: "Yes, but another A2!".

gave the engine bay a bit of a spring clean.

That looks excellent Vonnie. What metal polish did you use on the aluminium pipe ? Autosol?

Wow. That is amazing Vonnie. Share how you did it, I see some work in my future!

Well I have to admit Murdo and Mrbroons that The rather nice man called Robin Henderson did it for me. Oily bits of the engine cleaned with brake cleaner, followed by a snow foam pre-wash mixed with a citric cleaner, then jet washed followed by a long drive to dry everything off.

Then different grades of emery paper to start followed by lots of autosol on the pipe, having removed it first of course!

i did watch most off it :)

Murdo I've got one lying around the garage somewhere if you want to give it a try?

Thanks mate but the one for the 90 is specific to that engine. I'll have a bash one day. Thought it was Autosol. Brilliant metal polish and good work by the senior Henderson within the club ;)
