Today I... ...had an altercation with a tow bar, but this will buff out...right?
Just checked out the reflective tape in the dark with and without the flash. Here are the results. For anyone in the Lancaster area there is a Red Bull type soap box racing going on in Williamson Park from mid morning through to the afternoon today.
Yesterday I added Red reflective tape to sections of all the doors and inner rear hatch after noticing that unlike the A4 the A2 does not have lights to alert other road users when a door is open/ Ing.
With the darker days approaching and all four doors in constant use better be safe than sorry.
Nogaro Blue. Rare Audi custom colour, it's even got it's own club. These are nice Col. or a lovely washed out Ford blue…

Thanks Dave, she’s over the worst of it nowThey look lovely and are very rare. Best wishes to your good lady for a speedy recovery.
Lovely seats Justin, hope your wife is fully recovered.Well actually yesterday…
Fitted my new leather seats. I have had these for about 2 weeks now but things got a bit delayed as wifey managed to break 5 ribs in a horse related incident on the day they were delivered ( another good reason to choose an A2, I haven’t broken anything since I got mine 18 months ago! )
A big shout out to Ami ( @Ami ) for providing the rendezvous point, Colin ( @V666col ) for first rate delivery services and @mrbroons for the excellent video guide on seats removal. Pretty chuffed, very comfortable.

I’m very lucky, these are heated and have electric lumbar, I think I will have to leave sorting that out till next year.
Hi matey, over the worst, thou doctor reckoned 6 weeks for full recovery. To be fair I think my bank balance might take a tad longerLovely seats Justin, hope your wife is fully recovered.

Just realised that I paid by Credit Card and so I may be able to do a Section 75 claim if it gets awkward. But still need to get the repair resolved.I was hoping to draw a line under the poor servicing I received from a local garage. But they said that it was a real nightmare and some bits are missing. They will take photos to show what is wrong but don't feel that they can move it forward. Dang!
Previous garage had the car on ramps for 4 days as they couldn't replace the new lower wishbones I supplied. It didn't handle well but it was improved when another garage tightened up some of suspension when replacing the shocks. Now it is more comfortable but still creaking and groaning.
So disappointed that the initial garage has made such a Horlicks of it. The thought of taking it back there for them to correct the repairs goes against every instinct in my body.
But at least the latest garage (local independent Audi specialist) are telling me what is wrong and how bad it is. They said that the initial garage had been hammering it in rather than using the correct tools. Feeling very let down. It's not rocket science. :-(

Ah I see that I wasn't clear. The independent garage was quite shocked at how bad the first local garage had been. So he took lots of photos to show me what was wrong and to take to the first garage. The first garage is the one I'm after. He was amazed that he seemed to have clubbed everything with a mallet, rather than using correct tools.Yes assuming the value was greater than £100
You will have a battle though as the independent garage will need to prepare a statement that lays 100% blame on the first garage for the notches job/damage done etc and that is very hard to achieve
I fear you will be chalking this up to experience and never using the first garage again
