You no it makes sense LOL !!!!

[FONT=&quot]Cheers Carl.

Di is officially a member in her own right as of tonight and was going to put up her first post earlier, but regrettably she hasn't been approved as yet and has no privileges.

In the absence of Di's access rights, may I say thanks to all who responded to this thread offering sound reasoned advice. Di and I fully appreciate your valued contributions.

We collected our second "special edition" on Saturday, (a 1.4 petrol this time around), and we love having a second cult classic in our midst. We drove a 100 mile round trip over the weekend and the driving pleasure of the petrol is as formidable as the TDI IMHO. They are slightly different animals sure enough, but the enjoyment factor and quality of the cars are equal. Having differing characteristics makes for an increased ownership experience for the both of us and I actually feel quite spoilt now.

I really appreciate the qualities and individuality of both cars and the next time the petrol/TDI battle rears its competitive head, I will be better placed to offer advice.

Cheers,

Darren

Glad you got sorted and i take it it wasn't a dog then lol

Cheers Phil

Thanks Phil.

The car I referenced in the earlier post was a 1.6 FSI Colour Storm. It drove well enough, but the exterior blemishes were just too much. A good price though, but not for us in the end.

Cheers,

Darren

Wow.. welcome to the club then Di! Bye bye to the Daimler... :p

What's the specs..? ;)

Thanks Ian - Di will be along presently.

Specification is:- a good condition 54 plate with low mileage and at a good price. Quality, (fingers crossed), won over such things as opensky, electric windows all round etc... With a px to off load, a dealer purchase at sensible prices was our most simplistic option, but this obviously narrowed down our selection. One particular Audi approved dealership could easily double as a comedy club, the px value was that good...

No gimmics, but then the A2 doesn't need them.
