1.4 Tdi cranking but not starting

Hi everyone,
So my girlfriend drove to work fine yesterday morning and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.
When returning to the car to leave work the vehicle just cranks over without any attempt to start. The coil light is constantly flashing.
I am going to check the codes this afternoon but was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on common things to look out for or codes which may be present.
If its something simple I would probably get the parts and fix myself but I can't be without a car for long so was thinking of taking it to a garage.

Also can anyone recommend a garage in the Milton Keynes area?

OK so I checked the codes this afternoon and found the following:

16706 - Engine Speed Sensor (G28) P0322 - 35-00 - No Signal

I've been hunting around the site and can't find much info. Does anyone know the location and ease of replacing the crank sensor or point me in the right direction?
Also any recommendation s for garages in MK?

had a similar problem on my fsi - crank sensor was the issue, Spike also pointed this out for me :)
