The engine on my 1.4 fsi has seized. Just wouldn’t start one day and won’t turn over. Is there another 1.4 engine I can fit from the Vw range that will slot in with little modification.

there's no 1.4FSI in an A2. The engine codes are AUA or BBY, so Polo / Fabia / Lupo / Glof / Ibiza (to a point) engines will fit... look for the code.

It's a totally understandable mistake, but it does require clarification. The A2 was available as a 1.4 MPI petrol and a 1.6 FSI petrol. In order for fellow members to be able to provide appropriate answers/advice, we need to know which engine you've got.

It could be an ARR from a Lupo FSI but very unlikely given their rarity.

My mistake. I thought all petrol engines were fsi. In that case it’s a 1.4 mpi Brian
