1.4Tdi Alternator.

54 plate 1.4Tdi.
Just noticed the lights and illumination pulsing with the engine running. No pulsing with engine off. Seems to vary slightly with revs.
Havent had time to get the Avo out but suspect alternator on the way out.
Any comments?

You need to get the AVO out really..............but sounds like the alternator or brushes worn out.

I had something similar to this on a Corolla and it turned out to be a bad earth connection.

Bad earth, bad battery, bad alternator all possible. You really do have to check with a good meter, and check the drive belt.

Yeh 206000 miles. Could be!
