I am changing the Smokey engine in my 1.4 tdi. Is it best to take the engine and gearbox out as one or is it easy enough to take the engine out on its own. What has other people done in this scenario. Brian

I would suggest removing as one unit, and fitting a six speed with the replacement engine…
