A/C not working

Hi All,

It is obvious that things go wrong when you most need them, the temperature here in Cyprus is over 40 degrees Celcius. My A/C has stopped working with no power to the display panel. I have been told that perhaps the freon gas needs topping up while the A2 has some kind of a cut out valve to prevent the compresor from...
Has anyone had a similar problem that can assist?

I assume 'no power to the display panel' means the climate control panel does not show any digits for temperature and fan settings? If you switch on the driving lights, does the climate control panel buttons light up like the rest of the car's buttons? If the panel is dead, it doesn't matter how much refridgerant is in the air-con circuit.

Thanks Humps, nothing lights up it is completely dead and so are the internal roof lights. Apart from the fuses below the drivers dash bord (right hand side), are there any other fuses or relays I can check?
