Hi could I ask if you could delete this post please. It is a duplicate of your other one and it saves some confusion. Especially since you have had a reply on the other one.

They are slightly larger than the official recommendation and to be perfectly honest I could not say that the tyres will not rub.

If anyone here is running that tyre size then please can you help by confirming that there are no issues, to me it is VERY borderline.
205 45 17s yes, but 215 45 17s are taller and wider.

If there is any way that you could try them on the rear wheels and drive over a speed bump (at a fair but not excessive pace) then that should show it. The fronts will be fine and should only come close on full lock and then they should clear the wing arches but possibly rub on the inner arch (engine side of the wheel tub)

I hope someone has tried these because normally it is a simple yes or no, but the 215 45s are definitely over the line, but MIGHT be ok.

They are still current wheels on recent A1 models and so the prices stay high, but stick with it, the A1 alloys can look great on an A2 and there have been bargains on the interweb!

Only the early A3 wheels will fit (around the same year as the A2 range was out)

The wheels must be 5 x 100 PCD (5 stud and 100mm centres) or they won't fit whatever size they are.

You need to aim also for an ET of around 35 ideally (that is the position the wheel mounting face is in proportion to the outer rims)

Tyres need to be of a size that matches the standard recommended A2 tyre sizes and NOT from the A3, they are too tall.
Refer to this great thread to see what the standard and recommended tyre sizes are
