...and then three come along at once...

Has anyone else noticed that A2s seem to live in clusters? Down here in Devon they're very thin on the ground (I know of just two) - but then when I drive through villages in other parts of the world (Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Middlesex) they seem to be ten-a-penny (if only they were that cheap...) Perhaps they're centred round decent dealerships?

And in my adopted home (Greece) I've never seen a single A2 outside of a showroom - not even Alexandros' sleek coupe :) You'd expect them to be popular in Athens, at least: premium image, easy to park. Perhaps it's the cost of bodywork repairs to aluminium cars that does for it? [8)]

Weird isn't it. I have only ever seen one other in the town where I live, yet when I go on my travels I can often find loads of them. I remember travelling back up the M1 one Sunday night and another A2 pulling up alongside me to wave before he sped off. Nice to be in an exclusive car though!

It is indeed - the amount of attention ours gets up at Tesco (JD we miss you) is something to behold: 'cos it's parked in the bratmobile section I get to stand inside the shop and watch bystanders ogling it. I'm assuming they're interested in the design and not any valuables I've left visible [8)]

I'm usually too dumbfounded to wave when I see one :D

Funny you should say that. On my journey tonight I saw 3 all in the space of 5 minutes. A silver one, an amulet one and a grey one.[:0]

Shame I was in the Fiat and not the A2. Actually probably a good idea I was in the Fiat as I'd be replacing the Audi bulbs now with all that flashing.

As for JD, I sometimes see his old A2 parked a couple of hundred metres from our house. One of these days I'll have a wander round and see if they're interested in the club. Might scare them tho' if they learn the history of the car.:(

As stated in a previous post I see roughly 3 to 4 every morning going the opposite way to me... hardly any going my way though... but then I like being the ONLY one!!! :) (Imagine Ford Focus or Vectra drivers getting excited about seeing another one! I wonder how many other cars of their own type they see in one trip?) We hardly see ANY A2s, let alone ones in the same colour as your own!

[Rob: I bet you've NEVER seen another in your colour! I've never seen one and can't wait to see yours at the social! Has anyone ever seen a white A2?]

Thanx Johann. You're right, I've never seen another Audi, let alone an A2 in Merlot. I think someone on this forum has ordered one tho' - so maybe at future socials you may see a couple.

As for white ones. I've never seen one.

THAT is the only white A2 I have EVER seen... nope... under sunlight white does not play with the light... look at your sig pic or mine... look how the colour looks different on the edges and how the shadows accentuate the wheel arches (another reason why I didn't do a dark colour A2 as the wheels look too small because of the lack of shadows)... Now look how FLAT the white one looks... Nope no white car for me thanks!!!

All it needs is a flashing light and a red stripe and a 1.8T engine to be an uber patrol car.

Re the sex of my car, my Audi harem are all female yes, although I have yet to catch their names...

My Ahdeux is a he! No female can have a voice like that! Maybe petrol versions are female, but not the diesels!!! :D

I just want to say, if you are in or around Thetford, and some lunatic in a Crystal Blue A2 waves at you, it's me.

The amount of A2 drivers I wave at only to get a puzzled stare back. It's downright rude!

Suffolk is more dangerous than you think...
 
Chris: I'll wave back! I don't see many Crystal blue examples... but the closest I've ever been to Thetford was going up the A12 to Reddisham just below Beccles... and I did not see anyone waving at me!
