A2 isn't expensive!!

I just bought a used 07/2001 A2 1.4 tdi for 14,000 euros here in France. I didn't think I would ever own an Audi. We live in downtown M***ille and wanted a small car, 4 door, with lots of inside room. We had planned on a VW Golf, but they were all 1000 euros more, heavier and larger, thirstier. While looking at a Polo, the Audi dealer suggested we look at the A2. We loved it, but weren't sure of the price 14000 - 18000 euros for a 1-2 year old A2. As we checked on other cars with similar features, Ford Focus, Renault Scenic, Polos and Golfs, etc. all were at least 15000 euros. And I've seen what those cars look like in 5 years when all the plastic starts falling off. They were all heavier and thirstier, but just as expensive. All the car writers talk about how expensive the A2 is, but everything comparable is also.[33]

Folks just drove from Germany (Neuss) to Calais in my 1.2 and used just 16 litres of diesel averaging 80 mph!
