When i bought my A2 2nd hand it had an Audi 3 button Flip Key and a plastic key only. (The previous owner is looking for the other flip key).
If i happen to loose the flip key what will the plastic key do? As far as i can see i can open the doors with the plastic one even though the car was locked with the transponder button. However i can't get the plastic key to turn on the ignition - this may be because i need to insert more force to do it but currently don't want to risk breaking the plastic in the lock!
2 more questions:
What's the point of the middle 'boot' button on the flip key - mine doesn't open the boot.
Where can i buy a new 3 button flip key if i need one (cheaply!).
Thanks
G Evans
