I've just tried it with no problems. Are you doing a right click on it and saving it?

Works for me....

I probably do have it cached - but Lee wouldn't have done unless he downloaded the renamed version already?
If bandwidth has run out already then this is the reason why I didn't want it on either this site or the A2OC site.

Has anyone got any spare webspace, I could use?!!

I have some space in a Yahoo briefcase thing which you can use to share with other people.

Not the slickest solution, but I'm sure workable.

Steve - 2002 1.4SE petrol, Silver, black/black interior, Then an identical replacement 2003 A2. Now a Toyota Corolla 1.6 T-Spirit

Stu, looking forward, how you going to cope in the future with more content and more editions? I thought you wanted to keep it all on the main site? Have you more funds you can use to place it on your web? Just my ramblings....

If ultimately bandwidth is a problem that isn't going to be solved by throwing money at it, is the following idea any good:

The main website has full details of the newsletter (contents page etc). If people like the look of it then it is emailed to them (they fill in a request form-can this be an automatic process of input email address and newsletter is sent to them). They are of course made aware of the size of the file. If not an automatic process it would mean a bit more work for someone (not necessarily Stuart!).

A few targeted emails are sent to the likes of dealers-they probably have a high-speed connection anyway.

Just another low-tech idea!.

Steve - 2002 1.4SE petrol, Silver, black/black interior, Then an identical replacement 2003 A2. Now a Toyota Corolla 1.6 T-Spirit

In an ideal world (a world without bandwidth) everything would be on the A2OC website. But clearly this is not possible and carries too much of a risk of bringing it down as the newsletter does grow in size.

Steve - your idea is very good and possibly the most practical, I'll make the necessary site changes when I get home tonight. It's not something I would be able to do as I only have a lowly dial up connection so what I need now is a volunteer who has broadband/ADSL to help me out with emailing this to people?

By the way, amd visiting my dealer this luncthime with three colour copies to leave in his waiting area, so hopefully it will be well received...

I have Broadband so don't mind helping. And as I suggested it I wouldn't want to shurk my responsibilities!.

Steve - 2002 1.4SE petrol, Silver, black/black interior, Then an identical replacement 2003 A2. Now a Toyota Corolla 1.6 T-Spirit

I took one to the local dealer and asked if they minded me leaving it, I need to speak to someone with more control, who wasn't there at the time but would contact me later today.

Fingers Crossed...

Lee, I'm sure they won't mind...

Went to Aston Green Audi a few mins ago and sat with the aftersales manager while he read through the newsletter...he loved it! He said I'd be more than welcome to leave a few copies around the service coffee lounge, so I left two colour and one b/w copy there!!

I'm going to take some to my dealer also. Don't want to stir it all up with my comments above (which were typed furtively whilst in a meeting so a bit hurried, as are these), just wondered what the future held is all...personal e-mail might be OK, but ultimately you'd want some auto response mechanism to cater for illness/holidays, etc. I don't know how and if this can be done, sorry I know I'm just coming up with issues and not answers and that's not helpful really....I'll shut up now

I´d be willing to host it on my .Mac-Account, more than enough space there...if that helps.

Did we really produce this? :)
