A5 this morning?

Deep red A2 passed me this morning on the A5 at Hockliffe heading south then I passed it heading south as it was heading north back up to Milton keynes,
 
Merlot would be the deepest shade of red I should say. Trying to think of anyone I know from round this way who's got one. I can only think of @Jerry in MK with a red Colour Storm and @Richard_3L in Harpenden with a Piedmont 1.2TDI, but it sounds like your sighting would have been going in the wrong direction for him.
 
@Gritty @Proghound Not me I'm afraid. I wasn't on the A5 yesterday (but sometimes am!), and would almost always be going southbound. A rare sighting dependent on the exact colour.. dsva has mine down as Maroon (it is in fact Piedmont Red as you say), and allegedly there are only two Maroon A2s in the 🇬🇧. Perhaps in reality maybe more, but certainly not commonplace!

Wasn’t me, but the little red Storm is still getting me out and about. Longest trip was MK to Kettering this year. Will turn 64,000 miles on the clock by end of day. Nineteen years old and barely broken in.

Hi Richard this car was much more red than yours a rich red not seen one that colour before it was an SE I think
