Adding a2oc to tapatalk app (iOS)

A2OC Donor
In the last week, a2oc has disappeared from my tapatalk app but I’m unable to add a2oc again - either by clicking the tapatalk pop-up on the a2oc site (when viewed through Safari), or by searching for and re-adding a2oc in the app by using the search terms “a2oc” “audi a2” or “a2 owners”.

Is there something I’m missing here, or has a2oc become intentionally unavailable via tapatalk?

Cheers!

There was a forum software update recently but I don't know if that will have had any effect. @ben will hopefully be able to assist on this issue.

I have had real issues with Tapatalk pro this week. Login details keep getting cleared and I cannot log in using Google credentials which is my usual method. Looks like a Tapatalk issue……

We recommended when it is working though! (Pro, not free version).

I am facing the same issues, A2oc keeps disappearing from Taptalk and every time, I have to restart, reregistering.

As per other thread - our account in Tapatalk had been removed. No idea why. Maybe the new (original) owners of Tapatalk are having issues. I've created a new one now and reactivated it. Hopefully it'll work for you again.

I'd love to ditch it, as it's an overhead on the site. But I know several of the membership use it.

If there was another way to get push notifications and access the site without a browser I would use that!

If you have a recent iPhone or Android phone, you can create the site on your Home Screen as a Progressive Web App (PWA) and enable push notifications there. You'll then get updates via that. Simply:

  • Open the site in Safari (or equivalent)
  • Press the Share icon at the bottom of the screen
  • Select Add to Home Screen
  • Return to the Home Screen
  • Open the new A2OC app
  • Agree to enable push notifications at the bottom of the page
The icon looks like this when you get messages/likes/etc:

Great feature Ben (A2OC app on home page). Works really well. Happy to move off Tapatalk now.

Hi Ben,
Did it this morning. Working perfectly. Thanks a lot and I have already got rid of Tap Talk. :)

Thanks, Ben,

I've been trying not to use Taptalk to read some of the threads, this way I can access them as soon as they are pushed.

cheers
