I recently purchased (2 weeks ago) a 2003 1.4 tdi sport, It was noticed yesterday when looking under the bonnet with Chris Warren that the MAF Sensor Plug wiring is very suspect. I believe that the plug is 5 pin however we could only see 4 wires (all yellow) going to it and one is not connected.
I would really appreciate some knowledge and advice on what I need to do to fix the issue, I did put a wanted request on the a2oc Market asking for a MAF Sensor Plug (no joy yet) but is this an easy part to source new?
The car seems fine apart from start up as the engine rpm drops and rises for a while, sorry if the explanation is poor but that’s my lack of knowledge.
Any help and advice would be appreciate.
