Hi all, just bought a 2001 Audi TT 3spoke leather wheel for my 2001 A2,the yellow harness connector fits but I have one wire that dosnt seem to go anywhere?its a brown one,the yellow harness plugs in ok,then the black one earths the steering wheel, but stumped where the brown wire goes, help would be appreciated :) my new tt wheel is part no 8N0 419 091 B 25D and I'm replacing a standard plastic 4 spoke

Plugged the yellow harness in and black earth wire on to wheel, didn't connect the brown wire as not sure where it connects to?all well light goes out but horn not working, where does the brown wire go that comes out the back of the yellow loom?help needed:(

I also have a TT wheel and if I'm correct there should be a connector for the brown wire behind and slightly further to the right where the black wire connection is.

Hi folks,

I fitted a 3 spoke TT steering wheel to my A2 also then discovered the horn never worked. Did anyone find where this brown wire needs to go?

Thanks Luke

Afternoon Luke,

This picture below should help out. Apologies for the quality but it’s all I could find on a quick search:

Edit: This image might be easier to see where to look:

If you look deeper behind the flat plate you will see the narrower spade that the brown earthing connector goes to.

Please be careful whilst handling the airbag. I assume you already have the battery negative terminal removed.

Kind regards,

Tom
