The knocking sound has returned on my A2 after changing the Droplinks 8 months ago (Meyle HD).
I think the hole on the anti roll bar - where the drop link goes in is worn out and too big.
The hole was already larger than the diameter of the drop links I fitted 8 months ago but over tightening the nut on the droplink was enough to hold it in place and cause no noise .
It's banging again now every time you go over a bump/hole.
Its only on one side. Droplink, ARB Bushes and tie rods have been replaced. Bonnet is secure. So knocking is definitely coming from that hole.
Anyone had this issue before? Best (cheapest) solution ? Was thinking of welding the hole and redrilling.
