Any thoughts on this suspension kit.

It's certainly cheap though I don't recognise the manufacturer. Are you planning on keeping the car for a while?

Yes keeping it and I've already got the rear top and bottom rear spring seats,I've asked what make the bits are mever heard of them but all german parts.

In answer to your question my thought is do not buy.

I am not an expert on suspension (or anything else come to that!) but I do understand that the reason for the myriad of A2 springs available specified by the colour coded dots is to match the weight of the car. Diesels are heavier than petrol, each variant within is different and then there is with/without OSS weight and maybe other build considerations. Yes it is probably true the advertised kit will fit an A2 but is it suitably matched to your A2.

As Ian said it does not even include the rear spring seats and then aren't the damper buffer stops supposed to match SE versus Sport (different length).

I would keep well well away without a lot more information, which missing in itself is not impressive.

As a comparison I just ordered b4 shocks, spidan springs, meyle top mounts and Sachs dust covers /bump stops for just under £300 notes!

So i asked the seller what makes the items where she came back with a few males looked on google and they look like quality legit german companys might be worth a punt i already have a massive parts list ready to go on lemforder wishbones and bushes meyle track rod ends and droplinks febi arb bushes and rear spring top and bottom mounts.

what are the makes of the various bits in the kits? Given that you've already got a quality list of parts for the rest of the build it would be a shame if a couple of bits let everything else down for the sake of a tenner here or there. I found with my front suspension rebuild that with some careful sourcing and watching prices over a few weeks (they vary more or less daily at some of the bigger places, sometimes by a surprising amount) I was able to get known brands (Lemforder / Febi / Bilstein / Monroe) for prices that didn't add up to much more than the non-specified all-in-one sets on Ebay.
